Asacol anyone!

That's very nice of you, loopylil, but it's illegal to share medications here in the United States, we need to have a prescription for them. It's a tough situation since we know so many are in need of meds.

I agree that it is very thoughtful of you to want to share your meds that you can't use but Carol is right. It is against the law here, not just a state wide law but federal. And unfortunately because it is against federal law we can not allow anyone to contact you regarding this or it might make Healingwell liable. Sorry :( I really wish that we could donate our unused meds. When I switched from Asacol to Colazal I too had a ton of meds left over but our laws keeps our hands tied. Can you just give them back to where you got them from? Even if you guys don't pay for your meds, I'm sure if you had a program where you could return them then at least someone would be able to use them.

You can get drugs for free through patient assistance programs. If you are low income or have trouble paying or your medication you may be elligible. http://www.needymeds.org/

I would never break any laws, i used to be a police officer ironic huh!

If i take them back to the chemist they have to destroy them even if they have not been opened, i think it's a waste but as we get them free and some guys on here pay lots for their meds i thought it only natural to offer them up.

No need to apologize. You weren't aware of our federal laws as I'm sure I probably don't know yours either. No harm, no foul.
