Remicade and insurance

My Dr wants me on Remicade but my insurance won't cover it. Any suggestions from anyone on how to get these infusions started are welcome! Been living with UC for 12 years now and he said it's time to try this medicine. Does anyone know of any discounts or ways to get it cheaper? Thanks!!!

First, be sure your doctor has appealed the insurance decision.

Centocor has a patient assistance program to help cover the costs:

Definitely check the UC resources thread...there's a link to a Patient Advocate program, which is basically someone to fight your insurance company for you.
