Increased bleeding with use of Enemas or Psyllium?

Is it improving or worsening ? Worsening after 1 day and I would try something else.

A short jump start of prednisone may help.

Have you tried squeezing the oil of about 8 vitamin e capsules into your enema bottle.  I find that the vitamin e stops the bleeding and helps the healing.  When I start to flare I always add vit e into a enema bottle with a screw off lid and then I add my cortenema to that and always lubricate the tipwith more vit e.  I will do that nightly until things start to improve.  I continue taking metamucil as well even if I'm bleeding.  The vitamin e can be used alone with warm water as well and you can increase the amout of capsules that you use and retain nightly if possible.

I was having trouble with Psyllium and my GI reccommended Citrucel, it seems to be doing allright.

Last night was day 3 of the enemas.

She has been able to retain them all night, but last night woke up

at 3:30am with more blood, gas and sm amt D.

She hates using the enema!

I have been using the Psyllium seed powder fo about 4 days at about 1/2 tsp

in the late afternoon.

What should I do??

THe blood has definitley increased in the last day or so.

Oh also - it might be worth trying suppositories instead of enemas.
