More than likely, the fibre was causing the gas...fibre tends to do that and it can happen to healthy people, too, it's just your system adjusting to it, if you continue with the fibre daily, then your system will adjust eventually (varies for each person) and the gas/bloating will go away...if you only have fibre on occassion then expect to get gas from it on the same occassions...that's the way fibre works, your system adjusts then you reap the benefits from it, like formed stools, no more excessive gas/bloating, and less frequency as well (that's how it helps me). Fibre aids with D or C, but you have to increase your water intake, which you should be making sure you drink plenty of water daily anyways.
