blood test results back ... Help needed.

I have had a really bad right sided pressure, under my ribs for the last week and a half. I saw the doctor last week and she thought it could be my gallbladder playing up.

Well i had blood tests done which i got back today, but they are not showing anything that would suggest it is my gallbladder, the only thing that was raised was my serum total protein which was 85G/L and the normal range is 63-80.

So what else could be going on under my ribs? It starts in my back and radiates through, and the only relief i get is if i grab and hold my side,

Has anybody else experienced this? I really need someone's advice as it is driving me just crazy :o(

I am always very hesitant to answer or advise on these types of situations since you need to be examined physically and need to see a qualified MD.  My only two cents is that one might question kidney funtion.  Did your doc run any tests to evaluate their function?  Again your doc is the best one to help you, just my two cents

I had everything checked!!!!! The only thing that came back HI was my serum total protein levels.

It's really frustrating as it is so uncomfortable, and no-one knows why! The doctor did examine me, and thought it was my gallbladder, but my blood tests came back not showing much, so now everyone is stumped!

I have had and still sometimes have pain in the right side area you describe.  From what you describe, it does sound exactly like the gall bladder pains I had before I had it out 9 years ago.  But, I continued to have pain at times in that area.  The only thing tests have found was that my bile duct is larger than average.  They found that through an abdominal ultra sound.  Did your doctor do one?  That was also how my gall bladder disease was diagnosed, not through blood tests. 

You might ask your doctor for an ultrasound of the area.
