Doc -
Both my kids were born after my UC diagnosis. Healthy pregnancies, big strong babies.... no issues there. In fact, I was in the best remissions with both, from conception through breast-feeding. My GI wanted me to have 10 kids! (My husband said fine, if the GI would put them through college....lol)
I was on azulphidine for the first kid and asacol through the second pregnancy.
I basically have not let UC run my life, and only a few of my closest friends and colleagues know I have it (I am a professional who is sometimes in the public eye.) The only thing that maybe UC has influenced is that I kind of lost my wish to go wilderness camping after my diagnosis.... lol; suddenly bathrooms became much more dear to me! But, in general, travel, horseback riding, giving recitals.... all those "firsts" in my life have been post-diagnosis.
I think if you could find out for sure if you have the diagnosis or not, you would then be able to get your mind around it and be able to cope just fine. But that unsurety of "I have UC/I don't have UC" must be crazy-making!
