i thought yall might like this, my four year old told me, maybe it will come in handy! I sure wish i had known about this...

So we are coming home and he says, he has to poop, and i say, ok we are almost home, can you hold it.
and he says,
"yeah, for a few more minutes, ill just put this screw in my butt and tie it up!"

I have no idea what he is talking about, but my first thought was, man i wish i had known about that when i had UC!

That wouldn't have worked for me. Once I tried to hold it, got chills up and down my spine, dropped to the floor, was about to faint, when I let it out. It was either that or pass out and have the poo come out anyway. My body tries its hardest to get the poo off the ulcer.

In our local newspaper many years ago, one woman shared the experience about her nephew who was I think 6 or 7. He was in the back reading signs as they drove to their destination. One sign was "don't do drugs", and the aunt asked if they taught about that in his school.
He replied yes and the message was to "Don't do drugs, but if you do, make sure you wear a condom".
