Nope, not legal. Especially at the beginning, you want to do everything by the book to make sure you know if it's working before wrighting it off. The yogurt is a key to the diet. It must be fermented for 24 hours to get an effective amount of probiotics in it. It is awesome tasting too. We are no longer on the SCD for my daughter but the yogurt is something I would like to reintroduce asap when we reintroduce dairy (she's off of it completely right now). You can make it in your oven, but the yogurt maker's available on amazon and it's not too pricey . If you like yogurt, I'd continue to make it whether you stay on scd or not, it's better than any store bought brand I've had.
