Irritation after a scope?

My body really doesn't like the prep/enemas and the scope. The first full colonoscopy I had during this flare using Movi-prep was horrible! I was in bad shape. This past friday (the 23rd) I had a flex and an endo. Both my throat and left colon are still mad. No blood but, lots of mucus today with some constipation. Anyone else have a rough time after scopes? I think my tissues are kind of soft from all the prodnisone, too. If they irritate you, when do you generally think that irritation subsides?

It's not unusual to have irritation after scopes - particularly if you're in an active flare with inflammation. I think it also depends on the skill of the person who's performing the scopes. Some are more gentle/careful than others. And the whole prep process certainly can throw a sensitive gut for a loop.
