hello, i recently was in the hospital, actually got out yesterday. i have a c-diff infection. i was just wondering if anyone else has gone through this and if they have any recommendations for handling it. i have been in a lot of pain and the doc gave me 5mg oxycodone which helps out but i still feel a lot of pain. im on 1500 mg of metronidazole to treat it.

I added my meds to the bottom so you guys can see what else im on. i have been experiencing a flare for 7 weeks now, was admitted last monday, got out yesterday. lost 30 pounds over the 7 week period, i was bleeding a lot and having 6-7 stools a day. they got the bleeding to slow down, still a little seen though. stool wise i haven't gone as much but i haven't ate as much as i should be, kinda scared to be honest. any advice about anything would be great, thank u.

I actually had cdiff about a month or 2 ago. I was flaring...well thought i was atleast and tried to treat the colitis. didn't work. got hospitalized and found out it was cdiff. Was put on vanco...cdiff cleared but then was having a flare. Still trying to get back to normal but do take a probiotic and the cdiff i think is gone. Good luck!
