Insurers in US to end rescissions immediately....

insurance trade group announced that they will not wait for the deadline 6 months after health bill passed to end the practice. Rescission is where insurance companies dump policy holders that get sick and start costing them money. This is very good news if you have an individual policy like I do. I have been worried since I was diagnosed because I am costing BCBS more than my premium for just drugs. IBD was definitely a target of rescissions.

This is GREAT news and always a worry for me as I am currently a contractor and my husband works for a 300 person company and could always lose his job. Where would I get insurance if we had to get it on our own?? So glad they have announced stopping this. Our meds are so expensive(not to mention the colonscopy procedures) so we have to have insurance!!
