Had my consult with Surgeon today

OK... Back to square one....

I left the surgeon's office with HIM scratching his head and an order for an ultra-sound of my Gallbladder... (which I believe is FINE by the way) Anyhoo... I'm getting desperate...

The pain I have is in the MIDDLE of my abdomen on the right side. Food doesn't make a difference in the pain, it's just always there. I'm about to pull my hair out and just call it quits on trying to figure out what it is...

Seems nobody can get it.. THEN... I go to counseling with hubby tonight and the therapist is all about my health during this visit. I appreciated her concern, but she suggested I go see this "Psychic" that she's been to and she should be able to tell me what is causing my pain... and the weird part????? I am almost desperate enough to do it... lol... My hubby is all for it, telling me I need to get in to see her ASAP...

I'm sorry, but the psychic thing bugs me... I don't think it's the way I need to go... I need to go to Church.... Not to some lady with Taroh cards and crystal balls....

This whole situation with this pain and my friggen addict husband is starting to freak me out... I mean I feel like I'm really losing my mind here.....

I would avoid the psychic, and the counselor that recommends one... That is strange. I am sorry for all you are going through. What about a diagnostic physician, not sure if that is what they are called. But there are certain hospitals which have specialists who's sole purpose is to find a diagnosis when everyone else can not. I have followed your post even if I don't always comment and know you have been struggling. I hope you find some answers soon.

Your counselor wanted you to see a psychic? I think I'd be looking for a new counselor.

And don't let her make your health the problem in the relationship, Sue.

What was your response to the psycho counsellor?

I'm not surprised your husband wants you to see her, for some reason.

When do you go for the gallbladder ultrasound?

Quincy, my response to her was "-------------".... lol.. I didn't even know what to say so I didn't say much... And my husband is very adamant that I try this and see what happens... ya... right... Anyhoo.. I'm scheduled for my ultrasound on Monday at 8am, so we'll see what happens.

I did go check out that place to live tonight, it's pretty nice but the room needs a good cleaning out and painting before I move my stuff over there... The light is getting brighter for now :)

I agree a counselor that advises you to see a psychic is wacky...however if I was desperate to find out what is going on with me and noone else could figure it out then I would consider seeing one...what could it hurt???

I agree with Judy, if a therapist advised me to see a psychic I would be outta of that office in a heartbeat!

I have had UC for 40 years...I have also suffered from belly pain. Mine has been a gnawing pain right around/under the belly button. I have also suffered
from the sharp left sided pain many years ago. My belly pain got so bad about 3 years ago I drove to see my GI, who is a 3 hour trip for me. He did a cat scan and it was negative. Mine comes and goes with the most discomfort being at night. We tried some librax. and Nulev. Didn't really stop things...
I also have gerd. I take nexium and sulfasalazine ( 6 tabs per day) as maintenance. These alone taken over a long period can cause belly pain. The meds you are taking IMO could be causing the pain. Hell, even too many vitamins can cause discomfort. As far as the crystal ball thing goes, buy your own and tell your hubby you can also see into the future. You foresee flying balls landing on the head of anyone stealing your drugs...

Ya.. I've decided against the psychic thing.. lol... I Just can't bring myself to do that.. If you ask me, witchcraft is like opening Satan's front door, and he's nobody I want to visit... :O

  Sooo I am going over to my new place today in about 1/2 hour to measure out the room and see how I can get my bedroom furniture set up in there. It's a decent sized room, but the layout is kinda weird making it diffucult for me to easily picture how things should go.  Plus, the walls are PINK.. so THATS gotta go.... Nothing against pink, but I'm a country girl and I prefer dark brown walls to light pink any day... lol...  I can't imagine my rustic bedroom furniture in a pink room... UGH... LOL... As far as the rest of my house furniture, I'll have to get a storage unit, there is just no room for me to put it all at my new place as I'll only be renting a room for the time being.... 

  Hubby said to me that he woke up feeling great today since being emotionally seperated from me now... LOL... all that in ONE night.. Wow.. he must have been miserable...  well, I hope he's better off without me...   Won't it be weird if my pain goes away once I get settled into my new place...  I've often wondered about that..

I'm sorry about your husband and your pain.  I get upper right sided pain alot and I was told that is were your colon curves and if you are constipated it can get backed up right there and cause pain.  I get it at night usually and sometimes it can be very bad.  They did do an X-ray and said I was indeed constipated.  Who thought you could go to the bathroom 6 times a day and be constipated. shocked I take myralax now.  It has helped.  You should be glad to be rid of your husband not the other way around. UC is hard to live with and you need someone supportive or not at all.  Stress isn't good for you.  I wish you the best of luck.
