Our sweet and easy going English Creme Retriever had some impacted anal glands last week, so we took him to the vet and they gave him a shot of Prednisone, and then some pills. He's been drinking a lot of water which was expected, but all of the sudden he has become an eating machine. My husband is perplexed by the things he is doing such as lurking around Lacey's food bowl and staring at her until she finishes...in case there is something left in her bowl, licking the bowl constantly, running to the kitchen as soon as he hears a wrapper in hopes that a treat will follow -- it's hysterical and so unlike him. My husband asked if I thought the Prednisone was doing this and I had to laugh. I told him, "Most definitely, and I can attest to it." Pred made me crazy plus made me eat like a...dog? Ha.
