Hi again,

Busy week on the forum for me..

I have been flaring for the 3-4 days pretty bad (some blood, mucus, urgency, D, etc) but over the last 36-48 hours something strange has happened - when i went to the washroom a couple of times, I just had light color liquid coming out like water (am very sorry for the details but needed to explain).. Nothing else. Any idea what this could be? Is it something serious? I have had D before but not like this.

Any feedback is much appreciated,
It's been a rough few days but am starting the steroid enemas tonight and hope they help..

it is likely just mucus if there was any consistency/texture/thickness whatsoever ... if it is liquid like water (no residue, etc.), I got no clue!

It's more than likely gastro fluids such as water and mucus and whatever else is in there. That means you are flaring probably inflammation going higher than limited to the rectum. With inflammation, things get rushed out quickly. I wouldn't think it too abnormal especially after having multiple bms previously and you're drinking lots of fluids.

Have you seriously cut back your food intake?

I see you've had a problem with some 5ASA meds....what if you considered something like Apriso? It's in a lower dosage and dispersed through the colon more effectively apparently.

Hope the steroid enemas give you some relief.

Thanks for the replies :)

Q I will speak to my doc about apisro - also, I have not cut my food intake at all. I do have some very loose stools as well, combined with the light liquid ones (usually at night actually).

What bothers me is that my doc keep s saying how mild it is blah blah blah, and maybe it is, but its really affecting me badly. Sometimes I feel maybe he is not taking my case seriously enough for whatever reason.

I have gone over my journal and these are things I have changed/added in the last 2 weeks:

1. Started mutaflor
2. Lots of stress/anxiety
3. Increased pro biotics
4. Increased metamucil
5. Started anti oxidants
6. Started gluten free diet

I doubt any of those would've led to a flare, but may have aggravated in some way possibly? In any case, I have stopped the mutaflor for now, and am working on reducing the stress/anxiety.
