OT: Lost

I am a Lost fan. No, I am not having a party, but for sure i will be watching it. I am going to hate to see it end.

YUP - this 70 year old grandmother loves LOST!!  Must remember to set DVR as I may fall asleep before end (but probably not since they keep it so exciting).  Have not missed an episode!

i think thats whats so great about it, most shows are sooo easy to figure out and halfway through you know how the episode is going to end, and all of the episodes leave you going, WTH???

Hey there - I'm a diehard, rabid, loyal until the end Lost fan!!!!

I'm already skipping dinner tomorrow night so I can get thru all the coverage - 2 hour pre-show, 2.5 finale and then if I can stay awake, Kimmel's show!

But I am so sad it's ending.......my favorite character from day one? Jack!

Oh how I loved Sayid too. He so wanted to be good.....and in the end as Hurley said he turned away from the dark side (as Anakin did, to which Sawyer asked - "Anakin who?".....lol).

I always said from day one, Jack was who I would follow in such conditions and survival mode. But Sayid would have been second. Sayid always had everyone's best interests at heart too (just as Jack has all these seasons/years).

A magazine I picked up recently had a Lost timeline which was impressive but they also said currently it's 2008 on the island. I don't recall celebrating the New Year with our Losties. he he Guess they have more important things to talk about than midnight on Dec. 31st.....

Anyway, in my mind it's still 2007. On that crazy island.

I'll also be watching but not having a party.

I rarely stay up past 10 but I just MIGHT tonight.  I have it on DVR but who can wait until tomorrow!!

Matthew Fox said on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night he thinks that his character Jack was the only one that died (except for the ones we know died before that). The rest didn't. They were alive on the island. The time leading up to the end, Jack was alive.

I don't really buy that interpretation either.

It sure seems like they were all in purgatory, the entire time.

My mind is a muddled mess this morning. And I somehow have to go to work. I know I look like I haven't slept in days.......lol

That the island was purgatory and they all died in the crash was so obvious that they had spoil that in the ending.

Jack Dad said "Everything on the island was real", something to the effect that "now isn't now", and "“This is the place that you all made together so that you could find one another. The most important part of your life was the time that you spent with these people. That’s why all of you are here.”


The island was real. Jack died saving the island and the world(?). Hurley and Ben died later at some point after guarding the island.Those that died earlier were really dead. They were all dead at an undetermined time in the future when they saw the light in the church.The parallel universe was a purgatory/limbo and not real.

Not sure why Miles, Frank, Michael, Walt, Daniel,Charlotte and Ben weren't in the church? Ben didn't want to go in..maybe they had issues yet or had other more important times in their lives?

well i think its like bart wrote on the simpsons blackboard, that it was all the dog's dream. Which was ironic since the dog laid down beside jack in the end!

I dont think they were dead on the island, the producers have been on numerous talk shows through the years saying over and over that they werent dead.
So i dont think they were dead until the end in the church, but you know how Jack's dad said some of them died before you and some not until after you. So maybe some of them werent dead!

Walt wasnt there because the show only spanned like 4 years in tv time, but 6 years IRL and he had grown up too much to be there. Michael was sentenced to a life of whispering on the island, lol.

So this is my theory, the flashsideways, were what they needed to do to find themselves together if they had never been on the island in the first place.

My favorite thing of the whole show though, was when miles said, " i dont believe in a lot of things, but i do believe in duct tape!"
That is my new favorite saying

no they were always on the island, IRL, the flashsideways, were their "dream" worlds, what they made up for themselves, and the way they made it up they also found each other, through those dreams.
