Man, does my life stay crazy. Decided to come to WV for the week to do a few interviews for new jobs since my clinic in TN was wiped out. Alex's water broke last night a month early. So, now we sit in the hospital in WV till the little one arrives.

Wow! I'll be thinking of you three today. I hope all is well with the little one (girl, correct?) since she's being impatient. My son came three weeks early with absolutely no warning, so I understand the surprise you're feeling!

Yes. Layla Grace (edited). We didn't bring a darn thing with us for her. On the way in the main bridge across river had detour, so we actually got to get into a state troopers car and he drove us the rest of way in. First and last time I ever want to be in the back of a police car.

Wow Dr. A, what a story!!!  I love her name and hope she arrives safely and mom does well too!

I"m sorry about your TN clinic...I assume it was the flooding...that is so sad, all the damage.  I was in Nashville just before it hit.

Hope everything goes well. Hearing your story reminds me of 7 months ago when my water broke, only 8 days before my due date but as soon as it broke, my son was born 3 hours later!!!

Man, what a day. Babies heart rate decided to take a dive few times today due to the placenta trying to pry away. Two close calls to a C-section, but we were able to get her out naturally after all. When the time come, Alex pushed twice and out she came. 5 lb 11 oz, 18" and red hair... what! Runs on my wifes side of family, lol.

Yes, it was Christine... was total loss there. I was able to get in front of the head people of Massey here in WV and am thinking I may be the first chiropractor in their wellness clinics. All Massey workers can go there and pay 5$ for an office visit and that's it. Completely bypasses insurance companies. Talk about less stress practicing. If that don't work out I am also meeting with a fellow tomorrow that's showing me where he is opening his new office, and he is ready for me to start immediately. It's just about 20 min up the road from where we are at right now in WV.

Wow, well, congratulations on the birth of the little one! Those sound like scary moments you all had - yikes! I'm glad it all worked out and everyone is fine.

Sounds as if you have some wok opportunities, too - whew, I'm glad! Keep us posted!

I am not sure if this week could get any more weird. Was on way back up to hospital this morning and coughed and immediately hurt in right lower ribs. Had a little bit of a cold and thought I had previously strained one of my intercostal muscles, but it had been tolerable. By the time I got to the hospital I could barely walk. I ended up getting to my wifes room and had to be wheelchaired to the ER. Doc there thought I had some pleurisy and chostochondritis and gave me a shot in the hip. Can walk now but hurts like crazy. Wouldn't be so bad if I still didn't have this cold and needed to cough.

UC is still holding up ok. My uncle which lives beside my parents is having a rough time with his right now. He had never heard of remicade so we had that discussion today.
