I was reading over a pamphlet I received from the Penn Medicine Colon and Rectum program. There is a list of Pelvic Floor disorders in which one describes my symptoms to a tee.....Rectal Prolapse - Rectal tissue protruding outside the body causing incontinence, bleeding, and pain. Different surgical options exist to correct this problem tailored to the needs of the individual.
Do you think that when the surgeon examined my rectum he could have seen that this is my problem? When he looked into my rectum, all he said was...."Oh, I can see you are suffering." He has all my past results of my last colonoscopy (May of 08) and flex sig (March of 10). I suppose I am getting quite anxious.
The 40 mgm of prednisone which I began again on Wednesday and worked for a few days to stop bleeding has lost its potency. Bleeding resumed today with pressure, and urgency. This is soooo getting to me!
