I THINK I am finding that eatting butter is causing almost instant D. is this possible? Does anyone else havethis issue?

More likely it's peristalsis and not butter if the diarrhea is instantaneous.

Hi Krissy,
I have never been able to find out what exactly causes my BM issues!!
Last night I was doing fine all day and then all of a sudden at about 9:30pm I got bad cramps and had to have a BM. It was semi formed/loose and there were a few streaks of bright red blood. I know its not hemmies, as people may think. Then my tummy hurt like all night on and off and I still dont feel right this morning. I went my normal once but there may be more visits...

I really am so frustrated. I have my colonoscopy follow up on June 10th so we'll see what he says. I will likely start the enemas then and stay on the same orals for now. Hope that works, also I am going to ask for a rx for VSL 3, did you get that from your GI?

oh, and I am doing another plane trip alone with my baby to T.O tomorrow. I'll be there for a week to see fam. I always get anxious the days leading up to these trips alone b/c I get worried about the UC acting up even though I was feeling fine. I think this blip I am having could be caused from that stress and anxiety.

kweeks- here in CAnada you can not get VSL by rx..I have tried a few times..no luck.

Suebear- why is this only happening after eatting butter though?

with a potatoe..its has happened a few times since i switched to butter over margerine
