I don't have blood in stool. Mucus and very bad urgency. I go to the bathroom all day long. I hate to leave the house but I manage some quick trips out knowing where every bathroom is. The pregnancy seems easy so far. It doesn't seem to be making the UC any worse. I am taking all my meds even Humira (not working). I just started on some prednsione again which I hate but it will let me have a decent quality of life back during the pregnancy.
I have been sick for almost eight years. This flare has lasted about two years. I just can't get over the hump. This is the only one that hasn't landed me in the hospital though. My doctor told me there was a chance being pregnant could help me feel better but I haven't noticed any changes either way.
My biggest fear is after the baby. How do you take care of a newborn and raise a happy child when you don't go out and spend most time in the bathroom?
Good luck to you and your husband. If it happens sooner just go with it. I would still be waiting because I haven't been in remission for two years.
