So I just started taking this a couple of days ago and am already noticing a difference. It is difficult to know for sure because I'm still tapering pred tho...
Anyway, just a few questions for those of you who take slippery elm:
how much do you take?
do you take it all the time or to control a flare?
do you notice any side effects?

I just started taking slippery elm as well, how do you prepare yours? I try to make a tea out of it, but it always seems to settle to the bottom in my cup.

oh I bought some capsules. And I'm taking it apart from other meds, since I read it can interfere with absorption.

I take it all the time and notice no negative side effects. I take 800mg in the morning and at night. Like you, I take it with no other meds and try to take it at least an hour after anything else, preferably two.
