Canasa in the am/pm ? afternoon issues...

OK so Ive done canasa nightly, ive recently used it on two different days in the morning with not so good results. In the afternoon, more gas,bloating, more light bleeding and mucus. more trips to the head with pretty much sharts...***? i was better off just doing nightly i guess. anyone else have this happen?

Hi Red, ya i think thats what is happening. symptoms get worse doubling up like that. I didnt think it would be a problem. never tried Rowasa.

BUT Jazz can also be having an adverse reaction to mesalamines. Jazz's symptoms coincide almost identical to mine when I was trying to use Canasa and/or Rowasa. That is how I knew I couldn't tolerate them anymore...I had an increase of symptoms rather then them subsiding. But I guess it's trial and error mostly. Heck it took me nearly 3 years to figure out that the mesalamines were hurting more then helping! :)

Hey guys thanks for the responses, it must be too much Canasa for my butt. today i feel great. i pooped once this morn, (some blood on the tissue) thats it (knock on wood). no gas, no sharts, no blah feeling... i didnt do a canasa last night, i could just tell thats what it was. wanted to get it out of my system..i will do a sup tonight though. Your right Quincy i really havent tried many other drugs at all. Ive just been on Colazal and canasa my whole career with the disease from hell. id be curious to try lialda, azacol HD...ive never been on Pred. don't want too. Again my doctor said i have a mild case of UC. Ive reached remission with this dosage before. I do wonder what a higher dosage of Colazol would do for me.
