Is it the Prednisone or the Humira or both?
I have always bruised easily, and I know I bruised more when I was on Pred before, but this time it is bad! I have bruises all over my feet, legs, arms. I look terrible. If my son grabs me, I get a huge bruise. I don't even know what the majority of them are from, but I look like I'm getting beaten or something. It's kind of embarrassing.

Have you had any bloodwork done lately? I know when my iron is extremely low I tend to bruise more.

I had it last time I was in the hospital a couple weeks ago. My iron, B12, and D were low but I am taking all of that now. I am definitely bruising more now than when my iron was lower

I bruised on Entocort and 6mp. For me it was the suppressed immune system not low blood count.
Since stopping everything except Balsalazide I haven't bruised.

i dont know what it was, but i still bruise very very easily, my guess is the immuran cause its a blood thinner, and even though im off my UC meds since surgery, i still take phenobarbital and still bruise and bleed easily, and its a blood thinner also.

I bruised more when taking prednisone and 6MP - not sure but my husband bruises taking prednisone so assume it was that. I will have some bruises left from months ago - slowly fading!

My Mother bruises really easy so she started taking Bioflavanoids. Its basically the white part of a orange. She had big results from taking it!

You know, I've bruised very easily all my life, and there are times (depending on what I've been doing/carrying) that I bruise much more.
I have noticed as of late, that my bruising has eased up a bit.....I did start some ester C with bioflavinoids as well as increased the Vitamin D. Don't know if that's a connection, but I just realised it's not quite as bad after seeing this thread.
I would say there are lots of issues with you pam regarding this....but you have to make sure you're getting in the correct nutrients/vitamins that can help while you're on the big-gun meds....
