Major differences would be that fistulas (google it) are more common with CD and extreamly rare with UC, vomitting can occur with either CD or UC as well but as mentioned above with crohn's it tends to be more chronic for CDers than UCers, that said though, I've had CD for 19 yrs with no full remission to date and have never vomitted due to my crohn's....my CD is affecting my colon and anus at present time but even when it was also affecting my small intestines vomitting was never an issue for me (it's individual for each patient of course).
Crohn's can be harder to treat than UC because of the simple fact that CD can affect any part of the GI tract from mouth to anus (UC being limited to the colon/rectom) and CD can affect more than one area at a time, also contributing to making it harder to treat.
Symptoms (including extra intestinal manifestations) are basicially equal regarding both UC and CD, some ppl are affected by them more than others, again, individualistic.
