Did I imagine there was a post about not being able to sleep on your left side?

I tried to find it in the search feature, but no luck. Seems I remember someone posting about it, and many chimed in that they also couldn't sleep on their left side without having gas or having to get up and go to the bathroom.

Was that here?    Does anyone else have this problem during the night?

YES!! I have definitely had this issue and still do at times. I believe I'm still flaring but I was worse a month or so ago and I could not sleep on my left side. It was painful, uncomfortable and made me feel ill. I prefer sleeping on my left side too!! I also find that when I get bloating and distension, my left side seems to visually distend more than my right (is this in my head??). I have left sided UC so it would all seem logical.

I just had to stay still, whatever position, when I was flaring. Turning would cause spasms, urgency. Or I had to turn very, very slowly...it helps that I usually just sleep on my back.
