Having worked a 12hr night shift with a sore eye i made app for dr get there dr say dont like the look of that phoned hospital sent me there where hubby and i spent all afternoon and early evernig have Uvetis again drops every 2hrs for 3 days decreacing to 6x daily 5x etc untill 0 about 6wks hos will send follow up for 1-2 wks,

U/C acting up as well and has been for about 3 wks and kid still on summer holidays so all in all having a real bad time dr also said painfull foot was plantar fasciitisand said i could have steroid injecition into heal which would be very painfull(i said no) but hopefully would get better when stomach did foot been bad for ages am fed up with it all,just needed a rant.

Make an appointment with a podiatrist to deal with your plantar fasciitis. I had a serious problem with fasciitis and was cured very quickly. Don't take steroids if they can be avoided. Plantar fasciitis is sometimes easily cured by Orthotics or foot supports. Cheap Dr. Scholl's foot supports found at drug stores may not work.

Speak with a podiatrist before going to a doctor who normally prescribes steroids for pain. When you are a hammer everybody looks like a nail so before getting hammered with steroids check to see if the podiatrist can help you. My pair of orthotics have lasted 10 years so far and are very effective for the pain of plantar fasciitis.

thanks for advice am in the uk would that make a differance dr also gave me some exercises am on my feet a lot which does not help but do try to rest when i can.

Sucks you're not doing so well with so many issues at the same time.

Have you had your vitamin D checked?

Does massage help the plantar fasciitis as well as the exercises? Do you have special inserts to put in your shoes to help?

Hope the meds work quickly on your eyes...I've never had uveitis, but I know the pain from other eye stuff.

If your UC is acting up at this point, maybe see if you can get rectal meds to help get it in check...hope it's just limited to the rectum at this point.

Hi dr said i can use ibuprfen gel on foot and it should be ok? am on adcal-d3 which has 400vit d per tab so take 800 as have 2 tabs daily so my vit d levels should be ok but due bloods soon so i can ask them to check .

I cured my plantars fasciitis by doing calf stretches in the morning and throughout the day, and giving up the flat sandals for the summer and only wearing shoes with arches (you can buy inserts). I would avoid the shots!! good luck. Sorry you are dealing with so much, when it rains it pours!

The gel should be helpful, it doesn't go through the digestive tract.

The shoes I find helpful, sandals, are Mephisto and Naot. Check them out...at least to wear during the summer.

inserts are great. There's also a brand called Sole...they have inserts that can be moulded to your foot.
