Do you ever worry you are blaming things on UC...

Funny you bring this up now bc Ive felt kind of strange lately. Ive been feeling kind of out of it, disjointed. Ive responded with wierd answers to questions my kids have asked. 'Is Dad picking us up from school?''No we're taking the bus' When I meant to say we're walking. Then I was making dinner and found my cup of tea in a cupboard where my spices are kept. That was the wierdest thing bc I dont even remember putting it there. And many other odd things like that. Ive been forgetful, my eyesight has gone funny. I just feel out of sorts and yeah, I kind of put it down to uc; being over tired is one of the worst symptoms for me. When Im not bleeding with D and running to the toilet every five minutes, Im still feeling wrecked! I had begun wondering if it was the asacol, but I checked the symptoms leaflet and none of those things are symptoms. I think its just tired, but I did start to wonder if it could be something more serious. I dont like to be a hypocondriac tho so... Oh, and headaches. So, yeah, I put all this stuff down to uc, for now.

I too try as much as possible to stay away from sugar. Also fruitose/gluclose, caffine, processed foods, I only drink lacktose free milk, ( i do eat cheese though, but not alot) I eat alot of raw almonds, apples (without the skins) Oatmeal, grilled veggies, I eat alot of chicken ( no red meat) Drink alot of water, no onions, or raw veggies..only raw veggies, when i have a sub) and of course stay away from spicy, greasy foods...although i do have a soft spot for french fries and nachos...what I get a craving for.

I also never chew gum. Chewing gum, causes gas in the stomach.

I have less energy due to having lost so much blood. That's about the only thing I blame on my IBD.
