Hey, what happend to my signature when I post?

you have to check the button below the post window. It appears automatically if you use the quick reply.

I don't get it? I don't see a "button below the post window" and this has never happend before, I'm sooo confused :(

Okay, so it showed up on the above one and likely will on this reply as well by why didn't it show up when I replied on "+Post Reply" and when I hit the "+post new topic" tabs???

pb, when you post a new topic, there should be a box below (on my computer it's a light blue) that says "Options" - and one of those options is to include your signature.
Some of the format of HW has been tweaked in the past few weeks, and we're all getting used to it!

If you check quick reply, it automatically adds your signature. If you choose post reply, you have to check the box below your posting to include it.

If you edit your post (quick reply), then you have to check the box again or your sig will disappear.

Yes...Peter says it's to "save space" because some signatures are too long. Personally, what takes up lots of space is constant Quotes of posts, especially in entirety.

The quick reply will have the siggie...anything that has the advanced post format, including edit, will need one to check the box. Again....frustrating for those of us who depend on them.

Peter did say he'll try it for a while...hopefully, he'll change it soon.

The thing about text taking up space is interesting. I have loads of websites and I don't think a little extra text does too much to load times or bandwidth usage. It is media that takes up space. Web hosting these days is so inexpensive and they give you a ton of bandwidth transfer for minimal $. Save space where? The database? The thread? The hard drive?

on my site, i dont like long sigs, because it makes it harder for people to read the posts, when you have half a page of peoples sigs or more, then its annoying
