Nowadays I can drink green tea, white tea, herb tea of any kind but when flaring all teas upset my colon/stomach. I still have a cabinet full of teas purchased to "ease" my symptoms. Chamomile was the worst, I remember.
All the teas mentioned above have good properties but not when my colon was in an uproar. I found a new tea while on vacation in the southwest called green thread (aka Navajo tea or Yanabah) and I like it a lot. It seems to be like chamomile, non-caffeine also but gentler. I have a cup of green thread and a cup of green tea and a v. weak cup of coffee in the AM (I like hot liquids
) and I do add honey and a little milk.
When my stomach/colon couldn't handle anything else I drank a cup of hot water (nothing added) in the AM, better than nothing.
