Lomotil and nausea?

Lomotil has been a miricle pill for me for a couple years now. I only take it when absolutely neded, like going where I'm not sure about bathrooms ect.

I usually take 2 and 1 Bentyl and I'm good to go for the day.

All of a sudden I am getting so nauseated from the Lomotil I can't stand to take it any longer.  It still stops the bathroom trips but I am fighting the urge to vomit all day, and getting very dizzy.

What the heck happened?

Usually a 30 pills lasts me 3 months, to show how little I use them, but now I dread taking them.

Has this happened to anyone else?  Is there anything else I can substitute for this pill?  Immodium no longer works for me.

I am so upset about this.  Have a doc appointment the 12th and will be asking him too.

Lomotil has been a life saver  for me as well.  Since the birth of my third child  1.5years ago I take one every morning after my BM's.  One pill has always been enough to stop things for the day so that I can actually go out with three small kids and not have to worry about running to a washroom.  I do find that if I take it before I eat I feel wired and lightheaded so I make sure I eat before I take one.  It is also important to drink enough water or liquids since Lomotil has a dehydrating effect on the body.

I also find that if I am tired from being up during the night with the baby that it affects me differently as well.

I noticed that you take 2 Lomotil maybe you should cut back to 1 and see if it helps.
