couple of things:
1. I fully believe in pity parties- short ones. Everyone has them . I like to pair my pity parties with a "pep talk" either one i give my self or one i ask for from either my best friend or husband. This board is also a great source for a peptalk.
2. so your fiance went to haiti without you. you always do everything together, etc etc. well, i fully believe in doing stuff apart too. a cliche but true is that abscenece makes the heart grow fonder. Of course its hard being the one being left behind. Is there more to this story? was your fiance upset you didnt go, was she ok with you not going?
3. Screw the UC. So you have to use the bathroom alot. So what. I just get up and go when i have to and not worry about what others are thinking. If they are counting my bathroom trips then they have issues and need to get a life. If someone asks, "I have GI issues". You can do a rowasa enema on the down low so that nobody can tell or care. Its too late, this trip is just about over, but don't let yourself miss out on future opportunities. Unless I am in bed to weak to move, I do what I have to do.
4. So you feel like maybe you made the wrong decision not going to Haiti. Maybe you did, maybe you didn't. who knows. But its done. People make wrong decisions, bad decisions alllllllll the time, some are life altering. Luckily this is not, its just one short week away. Did you learn anything from this? Good if you did.
I truly hope you are able to get rid of the last of your symptoms, i was where you were for many months. increasing my oral meds helped a bit
