Yes constipation (or C as we call it) is part of the inflammation. Bad feeling. I drink a LOT of water, warm like tea or room temperature and use an enema. Rowasa/mesalamine will help your nether regions but a warm water or saline enema would also be useful if you don't have the RX enema on hand (but do go get some).
I've found that for me after C appears it's too late to start intake of fiber, it just adds to the clog (lol).
Stay away from foods known to slow digestion: bananas, red meat.
And last thing I do is walk (keeping bathroom in sight). Going to the gym for the treadmill for example.
Once you get over this one add some fiber to your daily routine. Metamucil, Citrucel, psyillium (spelled right?)
That will help but inflammation is the real culprit.
