If so - what has been your experience?
Thank you!

I am currently following a naturapath, but and the same time since I have just come out from a severe flare, twice in hospital with blood transfusion, no improvement with steroids etc etc, I am still on convential medicine. The naturapth path has helped recovering energy level and food wise. At the moment I am on remicade and tapering prednisone.

I've been to several and had one off the internet Dr. Dahlman, which I don't recommend. Nothing the NP did or ask me to do helped. The best was me being on antibiotics for 6months, major doses for Lyme's disease and that helped me get my energy back. Still however it didn't put me into remission. Eating sugar, bread, yeast free helps me, but it's hard as heck to stick to. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I did the whole Naturopathic Doc thing in 2002 --(he also had his pharmacy degree). Did nothing for me (lost 10 pounds though, eating his meal plans, which was a good thing). Seems like sugar is evil and Tumeric, Boswellia, Vitamin D and the probiotics I am on are doing the trick. (also taking chlorophyl drops in my water)

I tried working with a naturopathic doc, and had food sensitivity testing that identified my gluten problem. I guess that was worth the money (it was not cheap, not covered by insurance). I tried the rotation diet, but it was too hard with my work/life. I did better, but no miracle. There didn't seem to be more he could do for me, so I stopped going. Decided to try Remicade and that was what I needed.
I thought what the naturopath said made sense, about
my gut be overtaken by bad yeast, etc. He has published articles about
it, especially in regard to digestive disorder. Then I learned he gives everyone the same explanation, advice, testing, diet, no matter what ailment they seek care for, even high blood pressure. That kind of bothers me. But I know he has helped a lot of people in this town.

Yeah many of them are questionable, the one guy I visited had me lift my arm and then he pushed down on it harder one time, put a little bag of something next to my gut then he pushed down with less pressure and acted like it was the little bag of magic beans or whatever making me stronger. Oddly enough some people swear by the same guy for his cures, so I don't know.

I've seen a Naturopath Physician (M.D.), she is great. She put me on an anti-inflammatory diet and gave me supplements (Fish oil, Vit D, Turmeric, Quercetin, Probiotic). THe diet is very restrictive and I followed it for 5 weeks until I went on a trip to Italy. I felt much better and tried to get back on it after I returned from vacation but have had a really hard time sticking to the diet this time around. I definitely recommend it though!
