OT - Any favorite holiday movies or songs?

My college aged daughter joined her campus' juggling club. She's made so many youtube videos and her xmas one last year she juggled to the Trans Siberian Orchestra, with our xmas tree in the background. So many people told us that was such a good video. I know we can't post links here......when I hear the TSO's music, I think of the Home Alone movie (NYC one).

Sigh..... my music is traditional "men and boy choir" stuff, Kings Chapel, St Thomas New York.... I've been rehearsing my choir's Christmas music program with them since mid-September, so I've been immersed in the music for quite a while.
Love the Trans-Siberian stuff.
I feel so out of touch with popular culture! Thanks for the Glomp definition.... and I must admit I've never heard of P, T and A!
Love the old animated "Grinch" - it was the first video I bought when we got our first VCR decades ago!

My favorite Christmas movie is an old one, Christmas in Connecticut, with Barbara Stanwyck.

I love the old movie One Magic Christmas, it was filmed in Canada and you can really tell, so much snow and even sarah polly is in it as a child. I love christmas music in general and going to the kids christmas concerts.

Another entry from this poster, while browsing our cable company's pay per view movies tonight, I noticed a holiday section. With a lot of old movies listed for rental/purchase.

One was Planes, Trains & Automobiles - for only $1.99.

Family was available as well (another fave, starring Nicolas Cage and Tia Leoni).

Maybe these movies were offered last holiday season but I never knew they did this. How nice.

Sometime over the next month if I have a few hours to myself, I might rent a few of these movies.

Oh man, Sweetie 31105, Burlap to Cashmere. Now that takes me WAYYYY back. I mean to high school! My fiancee and I started singing together the two songs by them we both still know the words too and it led to a lot of reminiscing about the "good old days" and other great bands from the time.

Glad there are some TSO fans here. I've not been to many concerts my entire life, and eight of them have been TSO ones. They rock. If you haven't seen the house Christmas lights timed to Wizards in Winter, you've got to watch it!
