Skin tag removal?

Has anyone ever had an anal skin tag removed? I had my previous GI look at it and he said it wasn't a perianal skin tag that's associated crohn's. I think I've had it most of my almost 5 year remission. It's getting bigger and its making it hard to wipe and I just want it gone!

I have a pretty large one - but I think I will leave it alone for now - unless it really gives me problems later.

No, it just hangs there and is annoying.  I am 70 and have had it for about 30 years.  Runs in my family to have these.

I wouldn't imagine it would be difficult to have one removed by a good surgeon.  Go see what one says!

Sorry but if it's comming right out or right near your a-hole then it's not likely your average skin tag, it's more than like perianal crohn's disease and if your GI says it's not then I'd be getting a second opinion on that TRUST ME, I was told mine were just hemmies and developed some serious issues with them and ended up have an emergency hemheroidectomy done on them only to find out shortly after that it was infact perianal crohn's skin tags...and you don't want to mess with them (and they're only related to crohn's disease NOT UC).

Yes, be sure to have someone check them/it out.  Mine is small, flesh colored (I think) and the usual skin tag like on other parts of my body.  Doctor said just regular kind!
