All-
Debating starting on the SCD diet. Thus far I've been on my "standard" UC diet (no dairy, alcohol, spicy, greasy/sat fats). Been getting plenty of whole grains and psyllium as I feel like it's helps me stay "composed". However, wanted to try the SCD diet for a few weeks to see what happens.
Been reading up and as I understand, the basis of the SCD is to starve off the bad bugs first, and then put good ones in (probiotics) as a replacement. Actually already started VSL this week just to get on it regardless. To further the theory, any pros/cons around doing a more aggressive cleaning, like a bentonite clay cleanse? They call for a probiotic regimen when complete, which tells me it might get the job done quicker and better than an indirect "starve them" approach.
Would love to get your thoughts here- thanks!!
