Saw my Gi today......

So, I went to see my GI today to make sure everything was fine with me being pregnant, and he basically asked me questions about my BM's and if I started to flare. He said that it's normal to have movements like I have been during the first trimester of pregnancy. That makes me feel better. He also took down the information of my Obgyn so he can send her my information on my UC. I think first pick was a wonderful pick. I really like this GI. He also likes to have 3 month follow ups with his patients, that also makes me feel good.

Whew! Sounds as if it was a good appointment. And you're comfortable with him.... that counts for so much!

Having a Dr. that makes you feel comfortable is AS important as having a Dr. that knows his stuff. Bed side manner is very underrated. Glad you found one the first time around. Congrats on your pregnancy !

Sounds like you found a really good one. That makes a huge diff. I feel lucky that way also.

I just made an appointment with my new primary and I have to say I'm pretty excited to have new perspectives on my healthcare. I told them I have UC and need a referral to a new GI pretty quickly, and she said, "Of course, let's get an appt. for you asap, and then you can get the referral you need." Nice! So, January 4 is when I have my first appt. I'm jazzed!

We are switching over to Aetna; it's kind of strange because I've had Kaiser so long and I'm used to that system. I stayed with them so long because I was on the Remicade and they paid full boat for me to have it. Now that I'm not on it anymore...it's kind of freeing!

We are with Aetna.... It's actually ameriben tied in with Blue Cross Blue shield. Glad to hear that you feel free to move on. When I moved to Arizona, right when my husband got his benefits started, I found my GI first cuz I was flaring horribly due to the climate change, I also had Kaiser put my files on CD for emergency cases, so I had that on hand for him to sort through. My GI and my regular doctor are in the same location, and my Ob is just an 8 minute drive from my apartment. I love being close to everything. :)

I do have a good feeling about this. My husband has had this primary before and really likes him. I wanted to go with another doc in his practice, but she is only working part time right now. The funniest part is that my husband's ex-wife and son go to him; and until recently his daughter also did. So, it's all in the family, lol. Actually, he has very high ratings and a great reputation. I'll mostly see the PA's.
