Can you tell me why I have ton of bloody mucus before my stool comes out and sometimes it just bloody mucus. What can I do to stop it? Why do I get it?

Short answer, bloody mucus=flaring.
What all meds are you on, again? Oral and rectal, right?

yeah, do you think it's best to take all my Lialda at one time or 2 in the morning and 2 at night? I'm doing rowasa again, canasa prob isn't getting high enough. I just want to wake up one day and it all to be gone!

I once got a rocephin shot and was on oral nystantin and for one whole day NO LIE ALL MY SYMPTOMS JUST STOPPED AND I HAD A NORMAL STOOL. What was up with that. Is it all a bacteria problem? I was on so many oral and intermuscular antibiotics just this year (for 6 months) for Lyme's disease and nothing improved. Go figure.

I'd stick with four Lialda a day, plus nightly enemas for 2-3 weeks and see if it gets any better. If not, you should probably see your doc. Were you ever on Flagyl or Cipro for the Lyme? My GI said there's a small subset of people with UC that do really well on it. And, when you were on the antibiotics, were you also on the UC meds? Maybe both would do the trick. Or maybe you need some steroids (I'd try rectal first, then oral) to achieve remission.

No I wasn't although I have  script full in my desk of Flagly. Would you try that with the Lialda? I was just on a z pack for my cold and it didn't help the UC either.

I wouldn't do anything like that w/o consulting my GI first. My understanding is that Flagyl and Cipro are much different than antibiotics like azithromycin (maybe b/c they are more specific to "bad" gut bacteria), which is why they sometimes work for UC. However, maybe the z pack upset things with your UC a little bit. Did it get worse?

ya know I beleive it has now that I've been off of it for three weeks or so. It's made me flare worse I believe. What should I tell my GI, she sux so bad, I can't talk to her. I have to always talk to a nurse.

How are your prescriptions for Lialda and Rowasa written? Are they written so that you can take 4 Lialda a day and use an enema each night? If so, you could just start doing that, as your GI obviously approves. If not, you'll probably need to make an appointment.

As for the Flagyl, you'd definitely need to make an appointment about that.

If you dislike your GI that much, you should probably find a new one.
