Just when I thought the news is good...
There was blood in my stool last night. I spoke with my GI and he said the stool samples didn't show a bacterial infection, so now he's thinking the inflammation might be higher up, where he couldn't see it with the flex sig. He suggested a CT scan to see if there is inflammation higher up, and then he said if there is inflammation we should do a colonoscopy to get a better look and take biopsies. He called in a prescript
ion for oral mesalamine in the meantime. He said it's gonna be 4 tablets, once a day. Anyone taking their oral meds on that routine?

I had a bad experience when prescribed Asocol at 4pills 3x a day. The first dose bed ridden me with multiple side effects! Read the info inserts carefully and ask the doc about
tapering up to make sure your system can tolerate them.
