Has anyone every high-tailed it to the bathroom and fell or injured themselves.
I was hooked up to fluids once and the nurse wasn't getting their fast enough and I tripped over the drip machine running to the bathroom, and fell on my face.
I just tripped on my long coat. These runs to the bathroom can get dangerous.
Gee, wait till you get the Penthouse suite in the ICU. Alarms go off if you even try to get out of the bed and in addition to 3 I.V.'s in my left arm they had a half-dozen electrodes on me for 'telemetry'. It was nuts, I got to the can finally and wondered why I bothered as they had shoved a catheter in me - I could pee while shaking the presidents hand and who would know ? Thankfully I had put my flare under control weeks before this and I concealed the little bit of blood I was producing in order to remain on the Heparin. It is a dicey thing being in the ICU, we just got an email this morning about
a younger gal collapsing last week in the office, she made it to the ICU but there was no happy ending for her and her family. :(
It is good to remember being caged up like an animal - I feel so free right now.
