I' so sorry to hear your news, Boxermom. My heart goes out to you and your husband. I miscarried with my third pregnancy when I first came down with UC. The bleeding and diarrhea started very shortly after I got pregnant. I had the same issue - my numbers weren't doubling and were barely increasing at all. I feel sympathetic for any woman who miscarriages because it is very traumatic for a number of reasons. I know you said you don't want to try again and I completely understand. For what it's worth, we did end up having a third child but my OB and GI doctor had me go on prednisone as soon as I got pregnant and while I hate the stuff it did make a difference. I will keep you in my prayers.

I just wanted to let u know that I'm sorry for your loss, and I know how you feel. As you may know I lost my last pregnancy early December. I was almost 8 weeks along when my doctor couldn't find the heartbeat whereas it was found the week before. It took me a month to truly get over it and now I'm anxious to start again. Maybe you will change your mind once you get your body under control and so forth. Do u think your doctor is going to run tests on you?

I will be praying for u and your family.

ScrapGirl-  I was on the verge of hitting the Prednisone.  I was going to try to hold out until at least twelve weeks when everything is formed on baby.  I went on it last pregnancy too and it helped me.  I was just thinking today if I get my courage up maybe I would try again and take my chances of being on the steroids.  I still just don't know. 

Sweetie-  I have every test under the sun done to figure out the losses. They could find no reasons.  Even the autopsy on the last baby was normal.  I developed a clot at 13wks but tested negative for any clotting disorders.  That is what makes trying again so hard.  I have no answers.

Thanks everybody for the kind words.  It really does help.  I will keep you all posted.

You are absolutely amazing to be able to try so soon after the first. I waited four years before trying again. I just couldn't handle it before then. I understand how you feel and agree with you. Our bodies and minds can only handle so much. I hope you are able to take some time out to grieve and heal.
If I could I would give you a party just for being so brave. Many, many hugs.

Hi i am so sorry you had to hear this news........ I was told the same thing when I was 13 weeks pregnant will my daughter. I started to bleed so I went to the doctor they told me to go home as i was losing my baby... I was not happy with my doctors response so i went to another doctor who told me to go home and stay in bed for 2 weeks straight with my legs elevated and not do a thing.. GUESS WHAT! I took the doctors advice prayed and I now have a 13 year old daughter... Staying in bed and not moving helped save my baby. Please dont give up hope if you have not lost the baby yet. Rest as much as you can and dont move it may be enough to save your baby. My hope and thoughts are with you xxxxxxxxxx
