I had an adenoma when I was about.... 32 or 33. It freaked out my GI. He conferred with a lot of colleagues, and we agreed that the way to proceed was for me to have another colonoscopy in 3 months, with a whole lot of biopsies...
I was lucky, there was no evidence of cell changes, but I've had the scopings annually since. That doc always did more than the usual number of biopsies just in case - like 55 - but nothing more had shown up in these 20+ years. (So far, lol.)
