HAVING ANOTHER SCOPE ON TUESDAY!!!

Hi, I'm having a colonoscopy on Tuesday and I'm hoping this time they say the remicade has made my inflammation go away or at least has made it go from severe throughout to mild. Not hopeful because I still go to the bathroom about 4-6 times a day, it has always been this way for me since the remicade. It has helped symptom wise but hasn't helped my inflammation and I can't stay on the remicade if it isn't healing my colon. I'm scared to be on remicade long term but it has helped me and has given me my life back. I can do things and go places, I still worry but I haven't had an accidents since before the remicade. I also don't know what to do if the scope showes severe inflammation still. The new drug, humira, or surgery. I'm not bad now so to wrap my head around surgery is hard, a new drug scares me and I will probably try humira but I'm scared to go off the remicade and my symptoms get bad or worse. I'm won't be doing anything if I get like I was before remicade. I will keep you all posted. Oh, and I HATE the taste of the MoviePrep. Yuck!!!!!!!

Sorry things aren't going well for you. One of the good things about surgery is that you never have to do a prep again. I am so thankful for that.

Although surgery isn't fun I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and feel so blessed that I don't have to take any of the awful medication again.

I hope the medications work for you, but if they don't find a really good surgeon and talk with them.

I hate doing the prep for these things too but none is really easier than the other. I did the pill prep last time and by the end of the pills I couldn't bear to swallow another. You can't win it seems.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I think I rather do the Gatorade and miralax instead of the MoviePrep. It is soooo gross. I've only done the Gatorade and Miralax once(that was with the different doc), this doc does the MoviePrep everytime.  I also need a ultrasound of my bile ducks because I get pain in my upper right side. I haven't scheduled it because I'm scared. I know I should and I will but my gallbladder is removed and she said it sounds like my bile ducks because the pain goes into my back. I don't get it all the time, mostly when I eat fatty foods, all my liver blood work comes back fine. Thanks again everyone.

I've never watched the scope. I remember certain things from my scopes but only bits and pieces. They give me the medicine and then they keep looking at me and the doc is like give her more this happens about three times until I'm out. I then am in recovery for awhile because I don't want to wake up. lol She said to do an ultrasound and then if that shows something we will talk more. I have the pain now and I'm on the clear diet right now.  The first doc and now this one for awhile has said that they think it is my colon, I have severe UC throughout my whole colon. She said because I still get it we should check it out. Oh, by the way, I'm starving. lol
