Black stools after taking prednisone pls help

Dear All ,

My daughter is suffering with Ulcerative Collitis .The doctor prescribed her prednisone .She has taken prednisone and has had black stools .Please advice what should I do .She started it yesterday only .Will the black stools stop /

How much of your daughter's colon is affected by the UC? Prior to being on the Pred what were her stools like?

Black stools are worrisome. I would definitely get her checked out.
