Hi....have been on Asacol for years, having flare ups frequently so gastro wants me to try these new meds...I was hoping that this would be less expensive than Asacol...not!!!! Not sure I will be able to afford this....any ideas for me? Thanks!

I am on Apriso and my GI gave me a card that took care of my co-pay for 6 months. She most recently gave me another card that reduced the co-pay to 25.00. Go to Apriso.com. I believe the card or to sign up is right on the site.

thanks bellyache...how are you doing on the apriso? I will start it tomorrow w/the Canasa. Kinda scarred to start. Could I also ask you how long you have been on apriso? I used the cards but my copay ended up being $40.00.

Kiolm made some good points. Especially the "no aspartame" part. I know this has probably been mentioned many times before but it doesn't hurt to repeat it: Apriso contains aspartame. If you are going to continue using mesalamines then perhaps you should heed the advice quincy often makes on this board and try some mesalamine enemas.
