Frequent Fevers with any sickness

I've been diagnosed with UCD for about 10 years now, on Salafalk almost all of that time. For the most part my UCD hasn't been a major issue, seldom do I lose a day of work for flareups. I do find that I now catch every cold and flu and every time I get sick it's the same thing, 2 to 3 days of high fever 104, 105. It breaks with a few nights of heavy ( change the soaked sheets) sweats. Is this common among other UCD patients?

I don't sick that much, maybe about once a year, but when I do I get high fevers. Not as high as yours but around 102. Also, I rarely get just a cold...normally they turn into something more severe.

High fevers are NOT normal with UC...unless something else is going on. I hope you can discuss this with your GI or your GP, and they can run pertinent tests to help figure out what's going on.

I have low-grade fevers, but if I've had a high one...something else would be an issue.

I have low fevers and heavy night sweats frequently when I'm flaring though I don't find myself any more susceptible to colds than I'd normally be, nor do I find them any worse when I do get them - my immune system still seems pretty intact, I had 2 or 3 "almost" cold scares in the last couple of months but fought them off before they got bad, in fact.

I occasionally get low grade fevers this year so far, but right now I'm attributing that to the gallstone problem I'm going through at the moment and to another female issue as well. But I've never had any low-grade or high fever issues before. Maybe the UC is changing up again, strange....
