So how about
everyone think about
just how cold that is, and chill?
:)
I crack myself up sometimes.

I was just chatting with security dude while leaving work about
how we could not get back in the building 2 months ago because the fingerprint reader was not working when it was 10 below zero - quite quickly I realized that I was not dressed appropriately. I thought I was just running out to car and back after fetching dinner but we had to call security to come and let us in before we froze or gave up and went home.

It's about
17 here near Detroit, MI. We just got dumped on with at least a foot of snow after 2 feet of snow had melted. It was a tease! We had 2 beautiful days of 50 degrees, all the snow melted and we could see grass (dead of course) and then we get this current snow storm and got a foot back. We are now expecting another 6" or so on Friday. Is it spring yet????

So you moved, Fruit Girl? Welcome to NYS! The coldest place is usually Saranac Lake, but you are definitely in the Snow Belt. Bundle up! / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

I got pneumonia in Philly. So I moved to Northern California. And I'm still freezing cold.

Old Hat, yes, we're moved and thanks! I'm on the northern end of the Finger Lakes...it's supposed to be a lot warmer today! And I'll take the snow and cold ANY day over the winter weather we got in western Washington. It drizzles all winter long and the clouds hang so low. Cloudy days here aren't nearly so gloomy!

I'm in MI and it's 5F out right now. Been worse, lol
We also got dumped on with snow, but the ice is the worst part.
One time on the bus, about
a mile from where I wanted to be, the railroad arm thingies decided to go down, and we all had to get off the bus and walk. And it was -10.

Also for some reason, there was ice on the inside of our bedroom windows.

Well, it's 34 degrees here in Sacramento, CA and I'm downright cold. And even stranger weather will arrive this weekend....snow showers. That's a rareity for Sacramento!
My daffodils that have just popped up will not be happy.

It's 32 here in CT at the moment..... and to prove myself certifiably crazy, I got out my 30 years old cross country skis the other day and made a track around the perimeter of my backyard! So I've been skiing a bit each day!
A good way to celebrate my 55th birthday (today) which seems like a real landmark.... of some sort! lol

Happy Birthday!!
These days it's usually between 50 and 60 here in CA.
fruitgirl, I found the weather in upstate NY to be very gloomy by the end of the winter but it's such a beautiful place, it's worth it. I haven't been to washington state so I haven't experienced the gloom up there.

Happy Birthday, songlady!
nssg, I know a lot of people would consider this area gloomy, but western WA has a "special" sort of ick that seems to drag on and on forever. The clouds hang really low there and the drizzle is so much worse than the snow in so many ways. It just sucks. I was glad to leave it!
