Dear All, I've been getting shooting pains from my groin down my legs for over a week. Is that because of a minor flare? My stool's been ok etc. But there are headaches about 2-3 timea a week for 24 hours continously each time.

All I can take for the pain is tylenol/acetaminophen.

Any OT medications? Traditional therapies?

Hi Teacher,

I've had osteoarthritis issues for some years..... I had the pain for some years before I felt like pursuing it all to get a diagnosis. I'm not saying that's your issue - but I was shocked to learn that, when I went for a steroid shot into the hip joint, the hip joint is actually in the area that I would call "groin" - sort of the "panty line."

Could you have twisted something, or pulled something.......?

When I've needed something stronger than Tylenol, I've gotten a prescription for Percocet. But... I'd try heat or ice, and massage....they've helped me, too.

Have a medical consult for your headaches. I keep getting lit in the mail from American Heart Association that says one should not ignore severe headaches as it could be a forewarning of stroke. / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
