@beachlife - I was listening to a series of discussions called The Great Health Debate. A nutritionist named David Wolfe was talking about
super herbs and that's when he recommended
Huang Qi (Astragalus) and
He Shou Wu (Polygonum multiflorum). I added the
Fu Ling(Poria) as I read that the
He Shou Wu can act as a laxative and cause loose stools. However, now I think this may apply to the unprocessed herb, whereas generally when you purchase the herb it would have already been sliced and cooked in black bean soup (

all of the herbs you listed off the top of my head, I will have to get back to you on that one.
@Scarecrow - thanks for sharing the formula that you take. You said you take it in capsule form, is this something that a practitioner makes for you or is it a patent formula that can be bought by a certain name?
@pauly123 - I think Scarecrow gave good advice. Best to stay on the meds at first and possibly slowly reduce dosage. However, I think it's important that you talk to your GP about
any possible interactions before taking any herbs and speak with your GP before you stop taking your meds.
@kiolm - I am not familiar with the use of Boswellia, but apparently it is used:

Boswellia serrata is used in Ayurvedic medicine as an antiarthritic, astringent, stimulant, expectorant, and antiseptic agent, while Boswellia carterii (ruxiang) is mainly used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to alleviate pain and inflammation and for cancer.
