Tried a bunch of things

I was diagnosed with left-sided Ulcerative Colitis in Dec 2010, and am currently on Colazal. Since then, I have tried a bunch of things - one by one, and none of them really helped -- bee propolis, curcumin, boswelia, goldenseal, echinacea. st johns wort. Lots of pills in a day! A few days ago, I tried raw manuka honey and that helped considerably with some of the issues.

I am currently trying a dual course of Flagyl and Cipro and will have to see how that goes. I am also looking at Dr. Harish Verma's Ulcerin Ayurvedic treatment. Did anyone have success with the treatment ? The search shows only a couple of posts. Thanks.

First Post hah. I will bite though.

Never heard of that one. I'd say give it a shot. We have our whole freakin' lives to deal w/ this crap. Some longer than others for those who are so lucky to get DXd (Rolls Eyes) at a young age. And plenty of time to read Health/Medicals Journals & Articles credible or not. Plus, as everyone here will tell you tastes, foods, and lifestyles in general are subjective. What works great for Susie, may work horribly for Bobby.

You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. JMO

I learned about Ayurveda during my yoga teacher training. UC is a pitaa disorder. Unfortunately, the diet for calming pitta disorders is not an anti-inflammatory diet. The diet recommends avoiding spinach. Yet spinach has been so helpful for many who have UC that there is even a spinach and sunflower seed diet.
