Did not have gallbladder surgery due to diarrhea, flare?

Hello,

a lot of happened since I last posted. I was scheduled for surgery April 19th, 2011 but because of diarrhea, surgeon said no surgery until that clears up. The diarrhea started April 9th, 2011, so I am left wondering a few things. Is the diarrhea caused by:
1. ulcerative colitis - most likely
2. c-diff - requested test, waiting for results
3. bug going around
4. gallbladder
5. Or all of the above

I noticed that I am now recently having some minor blood and mucous in my stool along with diarrhea. Sometimes diarrhea is watery and very urgent. Sometimes it feels almost painful when the urgency occurs. Like something trying to pull out my guts or a like a punch in the guts. Very strange....but this feeling is again familiar when I had c-diff.

The ulcerative colitis, which is one of the most recognizable symptoms, probably yes to that too for sure.

There is a stomach bug going around, some people I've talked to said, they had it for a few days.

The most likely culprit my guess is the gallbladder, all the bile it's causing is probably exacerbating my UC.

Anyway, I'm not a happy camper, I'm losing more weight - trying to keep food inside me that in itself is trial and error. My weight is now 115 lbs. When some people see me, they say, "my you are getting so thin" which then makes me feel more self conscious and worried. I explain yes, I know, my UC is trying to act up and my gallbladder is acting up.

The surgery was a go up until 3 p.m. on April 18th, when the hospital pre-op called to say everything was on schedule and then I had to ask if diarrhea would be a problem. Yes, it is! Great....just great.....

And me and hubby just bought our own little house, took possession April 15th! I'm happy, but probably this caused some stress too.

Next surgery date is May 31, 2011, so I need all the advice I can get to it under control.
